Online Application for Admission to M.C.A. & M.Sc.(CS) Courses

INSTRUCTIONS TO FILL THE APPLICATION FORM
 
  1. Eligibility for Admission
  • M.Sc(Computer Science)
                                            B.Sc degree in Computer Science or B.C.A or any other degree with Mathematics as one of the subject of this University or any other degree of other University / Institution recognized by this University as equivalent there to with a minimum of 50% marks in optional main subjects.(A pass in the degree for candidates belonging to SC/ST catgories, 45% for OEC and 47% for OBC)

  • M.C.A
                                            Bachelors Degree in any discipline of this University or any other University / Institution recognized by this University as equivalent thereto with a minimum of 50% marks in optional main subjects and mathematics as one of the subject at least at higher secondary level.(A pass in the degree for candidates belonging to SC/ST catgories, 45% for OEC and 47% for OBC)

 

Note: Candidates studying in the final year / semester of their qualifying degree and have successfully cleared all the papers of their previous year / semester may appear for the entrance exam. Such candidates, if selected, will be admitted only on the production of the qualifying degree mark list.

 

2.  Entrance Examination

There will be a common entrance examination conducted by University for admission to M.Sc.(Computer Science) and M.C.A. Programmes. The common entrance examination will consist of question from the following:
Mathematics                                : 50%

( Syllabus : Set theory, Propositional Logic, Boolean Algebra, Linear Algebra, Coordinate Geometry and Conic Section, Trigonometry, Matrices, Vectors, Linear Programming, Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus, Series and Sequences, Real and Complex numbers, Polynomials, Permutations and Combinations and Elementary Probability theory.)
Aptitude and Mental ability        : 50%
 

Test Pattern

  1. All questions will have multiple choice for answers.
  2. Calculation aids such as calculators, calculators watches, mobile phones, slide rules, log tables etc. will not be allowed in the examination hall.
  3. Each correct answer will be awarded 4 points and each incorrect answer will carry a penalty of minus one (-1) point.
3.  Application for Entrance Examination

You can fill the online application which is provided in this web site. Read the instructions carefully and fill the Online Application Form..

Before posting the application enclose all the items listed below.

1. Printout of the Application form duly filled and signed.
2. Demand draft for Rs.350 in favour of Finance Officer, Kannur University.(payable at SBT, Kannur University Campus Branch)
3. Attested copies of qualifying certificates.
4. One self addressed, Rs.5 stamped envelope (Size 10X27cm )
5. Attested Copies of Caste/Community, Nativity and Income Certificte if you belong to any of the reservation categories
6. A medical certificate, if you are physically challenged.


NB: Applications which do not meet above requirements will be Summarily Rejected
